Your planner privacy

Your paycheck is read in your browser. The planner does not upload it to VestedTax or an AI service.
Documents and figures
The planner reads selected PDF or image files locally, using browser-based text extraction or OCR. It does not send your paycheck, extracted text, entered amounts or results to a calculation server, an LLM, Supabase or our advisor dashboard. Review suggestions before using them.
What stays on your device
Figures and extraction suggestions are held in page memory while you work. The planner does not save them in a client account, local storage or a document database. Reloading resets your entries. Your original file remains wherever you saved it. Browser or device features may restore tabs or retain downloads; use your own trusted device.
Hosting and technical information
This version is hosted on Vercel. Opening the website and downloading its code, OCR model and other assets involves normal network requests. Hosting and access providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser details, request logs and sign-in information to deliver and protect the site. Browser-only document processing does not mean anonymous browsing or no hosting logs.
Hosting/access services may use their own cookies and logs. See Vercel’s privacy policy for information about its services.
Planner analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and whether people start, complete or explore the planner. Analytics loads during normal use and may use cookies and device identifiers. Google receives technical information such as browser and device details and network information when your browser connects to its services. We also measure approved campaign tags and the referring website’s hostname when your browser provides it; we remove referral paths, query strings and fragments. Our usage events report steps and actions, not your paycheck files, extracted text, employer names, financial inputs or calculated results. We do not add session replay or advertising tags to the planner, and advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in its tracking configuration.
Our planner tracking does not load when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. You can also block Google Analytics using browser privacy controls; the planner will still work. Clearing planner entries does not delete previously collected analytics. See Google’s privacy policy for information about its processing.
Optional VestedTax Planner updates
When available, the optional update signup sends your email address and consent to VestedTax through Vercel and stores them in a private Supabase database. It does not send or link your paycheck, tax figures, results or selected exclusions. We keep signup time and consent wording to record your request. A short-lived, keyed network identifier helps limit spam; raw IP addresses are not stored in the subscription database. Hosting providers may still process normal request information. Analytics may record that the invitation was viewed or a signup succeeded, never the email address.
We use this list for VestedTax Planner feature updates. Email hello@vestedtax.com to unsubscribe or request deletion. Unsubscribed addresses are excluded from future updates. A signup does not create an account or request paid tax services.
If you contact VestedTax
The paid tax-projection link opens our separate website. Planner figures and files are not attached or passed in the link. Information you choose to submit there or send by email is handled separately under VestedTax’s privacy policy. Please do not email paystubs, SSNs or full tax returns; ask us for a secure document-upload method.

Contact hello@vestedtax.com with privacy questions or requests concerning information you have submitted to VestedTax. There is no saved planner session for us to retrieve or delete. This notice describes this planner; paid services and the client portal have separate data-handling processes.
